HILL RUES DEFEAT

The Barnsley manager Keith Hill said after the 4-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest that it was due to the clear disparity when it comes to the resources for both managers. Nottingham Forest were able to field the likes of the former England international Jermaine Jenas, who is currently on a loan deal. However, Keith Hill has been struggling with injury problems to a number of players over the last few weeks. In this situation, he has said that there is little he could have done in order to prevent the team from losing 4-1 against Nottingham Forest. Nottingham Forest were coming into the match unbeaten in the month so far.

Keith Hill has also suggested that the players made some bad decisions that led to goals. It will always be difficult to control the decisions taken by players during the match. Some of the high profile names on the Nottingham Forest team sheet included Billy Sharp, Simon Cox, and Jermaine Jenas. Meanwhile, the Nottingham Forest manager Sean O’Driscoll said that the attitude shown by the 29-year-old Jermaine Jenas since arriving on loan from Tottenham has been fantastic. He is currently on a second spell with the club after being given the chance to recover from the Achilles injury.

“We’re in the same position as we were yesterday – trying to punch above our weight. Take the emotion out of it, you can’t give a good team bad goals, and that’s what we’ve done today. The players are responsible for the decisions they make on the pitch and they made bad decisions today and it’s cost us the game. We got a one-goal advantage and then we imploded. You look at the likes of (Billy) Sharp, (Simon) Cox, (Jermaine) Jenas – I mean come on!” said Keith Hill after the match.
