O’Grady looking down in Brighton
Chris O’Grady is a 28 year old forward who is currently performing with Brighton & Albion FC but he has made less than 6 league appearances for the Championship club in this season. The English attacker has failed on making an impact with the club that he joined on July of the current year.
This is the complete opposite of how things were going for Chris O’Grady in the previous season with Barnsley where he managed on scoring 15 league goals and made over 35 appearances.
There is no doubt that Chris played a huge role in the team of Barnsley in the last campaign which is why it came as a surprise to many fans when they heard the news of the 28 year old forward being sold to Brighton & Albion on an undisclosed fee but it’s rumored to be around in the region of €500,000.
The coach of Barnsley, Danny Wilson told the media that if Chris O’Grady continues not playing an important role in Brighton & Albion, and if the club is interested in selling him that Barnsley would be ready to launch an offer for Chris as they would be pleased to have him back in the team.
“We didn’t want Chris to go in the first place so if he was available then we would ask the question. But as far as I know he is still a Brighton player and will remain there. We wouldn’t be the only club asking about him if he were available.” Barnsley’s head coach, Danny Wilson said.
The manager of Brighton & Albion, Sami Hyypia responded by saying that he does not have any intentions of selling Chris O’Grady anytime soon and even though the English forward is spending the majority of the time on the sidelines of the squad, he can still turn into a more important figure in the near future.

Wilson Wants Barnsley To Improve
Barnsley boss Danny Wilson says that his team must prove their performance if they are to sustain promotion challenge throughout the campaign. The boss was speaking after the 4-1 win over Gillingham. Despite having scored a healthy number of goals to improve their goal difference, Wilson was not happy with the performance of his players in the first half. This is despite Barnsley going into the half-time break with a 2-0 advantage. They scored two more goals in the second half, but a goal from Kedwell in the 74th minute took off their clean sheet record.
After having played five matches in the new season so far, Barnsley are yet to keep a clean sheet. This will be a worrying record for Wilson, who prepares his team to take on Yeovil Town in an away match on Saturday. Still, Wilson will have reasons to be confident especially given that his team have now stayed unbeaten in the last three matches, which looked unthinkable at the start of the campaign after two successive home defeat. As a result of the seven points from the last three encounters, Barnsley have moved up to 5th in the table. However, three points against a team that has only one win this season is not exactly confidence inspiring.
“Of course I’m delighted, you can’t not be pleased with four goals at home in front of your own fans and obviously three points. But I’m a funny old so-and-so in one respect because I’m never satisfied. I thought in the first half we could’ve done a lot better, we didn’t have that urgency about us that we needed. Although we got ourselves two-nil up, we weren’t firing on all cylinders at that stage. At half-time I had a few words with the players because I thought we were playing within ourselves,” said Wilson.
