Daryl Dike scored the only goal of the game to hand Barnsley a vital win that moves them closer to their immediate target of securing one of the four playoff spots. Barnsley had to withstand sustained pressure from their hosts but they showed the character synonymous with them for the majority of this season to seal a priceless victory made more important by the dropped points from playoff spot rivals Reading.

March Preview And Team News For Brentford vs. Barnsley

Barnsley will travel down to Brentford for their next league clash on Sunday afternoon. Brentford are currently on a very impressive 21-game unbeaten run and are gearing up to extend it by one more game when they welcome Barnsley on Sunday. Barnsley’s last game was against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the FA Cup the last time out and it was the fifth game they have played in all competitions that ended without a win.

FOREST GREEN ROVERS ACCEPT BARNSLEY BID FOR LIAM KITCHING

After some days of hectic negotiations, Forest Green Rovers have finally accepted Barnsley’s bid for defender Liam Kitching. Barnsley were said to be interested in the defender after he enjoyed a great season last campaign, but Forest Green Rovers’ reluctance to seal a deal made the negotiation a long one.

Both teams have however decided to be in agreement as the offer tabled by Barnsley has now been reportedly accepted. The offer made by Barnsley is said to be a sum of £500,000 and is said to be higher than the previous bid that was immediately rejected.
